Overview / Applications
| Outline | This is a cytokine in which biological raw materials are not used during the culture and purification processes. Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF, basicity) is expressed in a wide range of tissues from the fetal to adult stage. Possessing extremely diverse functions, the factor promotes proliferation and migration of cultured vascular endothelial cells and has been found to stimulate angiogenesis through involvement in protease activity and lumen formation. In addition, bFGF has also been discovered to be associated with bone and cartilage production as well as central nervous system regulation. |
