Hu et al. have reported that the formylation reaction of terminal alkenes proceeds in a high yield in the presence of Ru as catalyst under the mild reaction conditions using 2,6-Dichloropyridine N-Oxide. In addition, by adjusting the reaction conditions, it is also possible to carry out the epoxidation and dihydroxylation of terminal alkenes.1).
