| Outline | This is a cationic surfactant. The washing effect of cationic surfactants is generally inferior to anionic surfactants but they exhibit potent bactericidal action by binding to anionic substances such as bacteria. Surfactants are amphiphilic substances having a hydrophilic atomic group and a hydrophobic atomic group within their molecules. They are classified into ionic surfactants that dissociate to ions when dissolved in water and nonionic surfactants that do not dissociate to ions. In this case, ionic surfactants are classified into anionic, cationic and ampholytic surfactants depending on the type of electric charge when dissociated. This product is a cationic surfactant for washing emulsifiers, dispersing agents, solubilizers, detergents, etc. It has potent protein denaturing activity and is used for extraction of RNAs. |
