| Outline | This is a potent detergent solution utilizing strong oxidating power of sexivalent chromium and dissolving power of concentrated sulfuric acid. It is usually used at room temperature but heating to about 50 to 60 degrees C further increases washing power. Sexivalent chromium gradually becomes trivalent chromium during the use and the color of the liquid turns to dark green. |
