Outline	The product is used for formation of peptide bonds (-CONH-) in peptide synthesis. It is used widely to allow dehydration binding also in other fields."BOP reagent" (benzotriazolyl-N-hydroxy-tris-(dimethylamino)phosphonium hexa-fluorophosphate) is fast reacting and its byproducts are freely soluble in water. Naturally, it has the advantage of not producing DCUrea, etc. Rivaille et al. have utilized the product for fragment synthesis in the synthesis of LH-RH and Wenger in the synthesis of ciclosporin.
