| Outline | Fibrin is a major component of blood clots produced in response to bleeding. It is formed from a soluble protein in plasma, fibrinogen. When bleeding occurs due to tissue damage, fibrinogen is converted to Fibrin at the wound site by activity of thrombin which is the clotting enzyme. This product is an antibody that specifically recognizes Fibrin.
