Application
Overview / Applications
Outline | Activated alumina is produced by dehydration of hydrated alumina gel at 300 to 500 degrees C. It has strong absorption capacity for water and gas, etc., and is used as an adsorbent, desiccant, and catalyst, (in particular as a dehydration catalyst). Its crystalline form is gamma-alumina.Activated alumina is classified into acidic (pH 4), basic (pH 9), and neutral (pH 7.5) types. The product belongs to the basic type. |
