Overview / Applications
Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. Found widely throughout the body, chondroitin sulfate is a mucopolysaccharides that is a part of a carbohydrate chain of proteoglycan (i.e., core protein + carbohydrate chain). Chondroitin consists of two alternating monosaccharides: D-glucuronic acid (GlcA) and N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc). Various fractions result from sulfation of C2 of GlcA and C4 and C6 of GaINAc. |
