Polyphenol Analysis

Reactive oxygen produces lipoperoxide which tends to cause arteriosclerosis, and cause cancer, aging, and decreased immune function. A human body is essentially equipped with enzymes to suppress reactive oxygen, but the amount of enzymes produced in the body decreases with age.
Polyphenol is a bitter and pigment ingredient that is found in most of plants, and it is said that more than 5,000 kinds of polyphenol exist in nature. Polyphenol has a strong antioxidant action and helps prevent the binding between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and reactive oxygen, as well as inhibit lifestyle-related diseases such as arteriosclerosis.
Polyphenol is generally found in various forms, including resveratrol in red wine, catechins in green tea, and isoflavones in soy.
Polyphenol not only provides an antioxidant action, but also leads to physiological activities such as antimicrobial effects. Its anticancer effects have also been actively studied.
