PPAR is one of nuclear receptors and a transcription factor that regulates genetic expression by forming a heterodimer with RXR and binding to the promotor domain of a target gene. Rosiglitazone is a thiazolidine PPARγ agonist and improves insulin resistance and exhibits hypoglycemic effect. |
