Outline	This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. Recent studies have pinpointed Mycalolide B, a marine toxin, as an inhibitor of actin polymerization, yet in a manner which differs from that of Cytochalasin D. Cytochalasin D depolymerized F actin at a slow rate by capping the terminal binding region of F-actin. Mycalolide B, on the other hand, initiates polymerization by actually cleaving F-actin with specificity, binding with it at 1:1 (m/m) ratio and thus restoring it to G-actin. Mycalolide B has been further attributed with a decrease in Mg2+-ATPase activity when examining its effects on actomyosin, or various chicken and rabbit muscular activity. Solubility: Soluble in methanol, isopropanol and DMSO. IC50: 10-50 nM (L1210 Leukemia cells).
