Viscosity Standard Solutions
Viscosity (viscosity coefficient) is measured with a viscometer. Different types of viscometers are available including capillary viscometers, falling ball viscometers, rotational viscometers, and vibration viscometers, with each based on different measurement principles and used depending on the purpose. In order to measure viscosity accurately, viscometers should be calibrated using a standard solution of known viscosity or kinematic viscosity.
