Solvents for Dioxin and PCB Analysis
Dioxins are highly toxic compounds that are generated unintentionally during waste incineration, organochlorine compound production, etc. High-resolution GC-MS is used in dioxin analysis because it requires the highly sensitive analysis of many isomers. For this reason, it is considered desirable to limit the level of dioxins contained as impurities in the solvent to pg/L or less. Fujifilm Wako provides two types of analytical solvents that conform to strict quality specifications.
Solvents for dioxin analysis
Solvents concentrated by a factor of 100,000* undergo a dioxin analysis compatibility test using "high-resolution GC/MS" to guarantee low concentrations of PCDDs, PCDFs, and coplanar PCBs in the product.
*The concentration factor is different for some solvents.
Pesticide residue/PCB 300/5,000 series
These solvents, guaranteed to conform to strict quality standards, are available in 300- and 5,000-fold concentrations . They are suitable for the extraction and purification of pesticide residues and dioxins.
