Outline	This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. This is the recombinant cytokine product for which no animal-derived ingredients were used in the synthesis and purification. LIF (Leukemia Inhibitory Factor) was found as a factor inhibiting proliferation of leukemic cells and inducing differentiation to macrophages. In addition, a variety of functions such as neural differentiation, osteogenesis, lipid transportation of adipose cells, and production of adrenal cortical hormones have been known. LIF is also used in cell cultures to maintain undifferentiated state of ES cells because it shows inhibitory action on differentiation of mouse ES cells. This is a protein consisting of 180 amino acid residues.
