Overview
This product is an immobilized catalyst that can be synthesized from sodium m-phenolsulfonate and paraformaldehyde. It contains sulfonic acid and functions as an acid catalyst. When this product is used in a batch reaction, it accomplishes efficient esterification without removing water and its reuse by recovery is also possible. In addition, various esters can be synthesized at a high yield with this catalyst by continuous-flow reaction.
*We sell this product under license from RIKEN for the purpose of testing and researching WO2019 / 203241.
For commercial use, permission from RIKEN is required.
Features
- Black immobilized catalyst including sulfonic acid.
- Accomplishes esterification without removing water in a batch reaction.
- Possible to recover and reuse.
- Can synthesize esters at a high yield in a continiuous flow reaction.
