| Outline | High-sensitivity colorimetry of Fe is performed as Fe(2)-1,10-phenanthroline and Fe(2)-batophenanthroline chelate. Fe usually exists as Fe(3) and must be reduced to Fe(2). The product is also used for this purpose. It is easy to use because the content of Fe is extremely low. It can also be used for colorimetry of Cu.It is used as a reducer in the determination of iron in JISB8224 (Test methods for boiler feed water and boiler water). |
