| Outline | The product is used as a reducer in atomic absorption analysis. It reduces oxidative substances (chlorine, various nitrogen oxides, ferric ions, etc.) produced when the sample is degraded with a pretreatment reagent (mainly acids) and protects the subsequently added chelate reagent.
