Do not administer it to human.Fosfomycin is an antibacterial substance that is produced by culturing Streptomyces fradiae, S.viridochromogenes and S.wedmorensis, or by chemical synthesis, has a broad range of antibacterial spectrum and bactericidal action, and exhibits no cross-resistance with other antimicrobial substances. As veterinary drugs in Japan, fosfomycin Ca has been used for cattle feed or drinking water additives (indications: Escherichia coli diarrhea, salmonellosis) and fisheries feed additives (indications: pseudotuberculosis), while fosfomycin Na has been used for cattle injections (indications: Pasteurella pneumonia). This is a reference standard for veterinary drugs. |
