Overview

It is a heterogeneous catalyst in which platinum (I) chloride is supported on polystyrene-polyethylene glycol (PS-PEG). Both oxygen oxidation and hydrogen reduction reactions are possible with one catalyst. The oxidation reaction of alcohol undergo in aqueous solvent. Because of polymer supported catalyst, it can be used for flow synthesis system. Recovery of catalyst after reaction is easy and it can be reusable repeatedly.
