| Outline | A saturated solution of ammonium sulfate used in the purification (concentration/salting out) of proteins (enzymes/antibodies).It is prepared based on the concentration of saturated solution at 25 degree C (767 g of ammonium sulfate in 1 L of water).In comparison to protein purification using a powder, a saturated solution is suitable to purification of a small amount of protein or a high concentration protein solution allowing delicate adjustment of concentration at the time of addition.Ammonium sulfate of the grade for enzymic purification is used. |
