Overview / Applications
Outline | The product is used for amino acid sequencing by the Edman degradation with DABTC in which it converts the dimethylaminoazobenzene-4'-thiazolinone derivatives after cleavage of DABTC-peptides to dimethylaminoazobenzene-4'-thiohydantoin (DABTH) amino acids like TFA. The Edman method developed by Edman is widely used as an extremely useful method for amino acid sequencing of proteins and peptides. Since the development of automatic determination of amino acid sequence by Edman and Begg, requirements for more rapid and micro-scale analyses have been growing. Today, samples in the picomole order are analyzed using automated devices such as a sequencer. |
