Overview / Applications
| Outline | An anhydride. We also offer sodium 4-pyridinecarboxylate tetrahydrate, Wako Code No. 198-08152, 190-08151. Used as a reagent for quantitative determination of cyanide ions by the use of isonicotinic acid-pyrazolone. This method has advantages over the conventional method using pyridine (pyridine-pyrazolone method), which is associated with a bad odor, in that it offers easy preparation of reagent solution and stable coloring. |
