Overview / Applications
| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. PDGF was first identified as a mesenchymal cell growth factor contained in platelet alpha-granules. It is now known to be produced by various cells other than platelets and to exhibit a wide range of biological effects. PDGF-AA differs from the other dimer forms, AB and BB, in that it lacks chemotactic activity and instead inhibits the chemotactic activity of AB and BB. PDGF receptors consist of two subunits, -alpha and -beta, and PDGF-AA binds specifically to PDGFR-alpha. Carrier protein-free. Sterilized by filtration with a 0.2 um filter, then freeze-dried. |
