Outline The Edman method developed by Edman is widely used as an extremely useful method for amino acid sequencing of proteins and peptides. Since Edman and Begg developed the automated Edman method, the need for micro and rapid analysis has increased, so pmol-order analysis has been performed using, for example, a sequencer.It is used for preparing DABITC-pyridine solution in amino acid sequence analysis for peptides by the Edman degradation method using DABITC.
A typical compound with the pyridine nucleus. It has a peculiar bitter offensive odor and dissolves some inorganic as well as organic substances. It is a basic substance and forms acids and salts.
