Outline	Amino Acid Analysis Reagents are high-purity reagents from which ninhydrin positive components that would cause interference in the analysis have been removed.This is a modified method for hydrolyzing protein into amino acids using p-toluenesulfonic acid. This method is widely used for quantitative determination of tryptophan because it is available in the presence of a small amount of carbohydrate like the p-toluenesulfonic acid method. However, the use of high-concentration nonvolatile acid requires the acid to be neutralized after hydrolysis, and residual high-concentration salt may disturb amino acid analysis using precolumn derivatization. The product is used for hydrolysis of protein and peptide samples containing tryptophan in amino acid analysis. This product is used because tryptophan is hydrolyzed with 6N HCl.
