| Outline | Anisomycin is an activator of p54 and MAP kinases. It is involved in the activation of SAPKs. By acting as a potent signalling agonist, it shows synergistic action with growth factors which induce c-fos and c-jun. It is known to inhibit protein synthesis and to induce apoptosis in human monoblastoid cell line U937. |
