| Outline | The aqueous solution of ABTS turns from colorless to green with maximum absorptions at 415 nm and beyond 630 nm through reaction with an oxidizing agent and is used for simple and accurate colorimetric determination of residual chlorine.The kit Active Chlorine Test Wako (Code No. 296-01641) is a related product for determination of residual chlorine using the ABTS method. The product was developed by our company for determination of residual chlorine by applying its properties as a redox indicator. O-tolidine is usually used for determination of residual chlorine. However, due to its carcinogenicity, o-tolidine of good quality is difficult to obtain.
